Bari Siddiqui Performance in Manikganj


A solo performance by famed flutist and folk singer Bari Siddiqui was held recently at Captain Abdul Halim Chowdhury Auditorium in Manikganj.
The concert began around 9:25pm and continued till 11:15pm. Siddiqui started with “Aporadhi Hoilam Ami Tor”. The musician performed 15 of his hits at the event, including “Ami Ekta Zinda Lash”, “Katish Naare Jonglar Bansh”, “Rojoni Hoishna Aboshan”, “Aaj Nisheethe Ashte Parey Bondhu Kala Chan”, “Monta Jodi Takar Moto Korjo Dewa Jeto”, “Ghoreo Jala Baireo Jala”, “Shua Chan Pakhi”, “Pubali Batashey”, “Amar Gaye Joto Dukkho Shoy” and more. Around a thousand music enthusiasts from all walks of life enjoyed Siddiqi's soulful renditions.
District Sports Association organised the event as part of its prize-giving programme. Local lawmaker Zahid Maleque Swapan was present at the function as chief guest. Assistant Deputy Commissioner (general) Nizam Uddin presided over the function. Md. Ramzan Ali, mayor of Manikganj Municipality; Naimur Rahman Durjoy, former captain of the national cricket team and AFM Sultanul Azam Khan, secretary, DSA, among others, spoke on the occasion.
