10 injured as Comilla JCD factions clash in Dhaka

At least 10 people were injured in a factional clash of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) men of Comilla's Titas upazila unit yesterday.
The incident took place at BNP's Naya Paltan office in Dhaka during a council of the upazila's JCD unit, which could not be held in Titas fearing factional clash.
MK Anwar, BNP’s standing committee member and lawmaker from Comilla, was present at the spot.
Voting for electing new leaders for the committee started around 10:00am.
The clash ensued around 1:00pm when two factions of JCD men belonging to president candidates Abul Khayer and Monir Hossain Bhuiyan locked into an altercation when the election result was about to be announced.
The council was foiled due to the clash.
