Tk1.9 crore for cold-hit people

The government has allocated Tk 1.9 crore from the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund for distribution of warm clothes among the cold-hit people in 21 districts.
Of the amount, Tk 20 lakh has been allocated each for Barguna, Bagerhat, Patuakhali and Pirojpur districts while Tk 10 lakh each for Jhalakati, Barisal, Satkhira, Bhola and Khulna.
Besides, Tk 5 lakh has been allocated each for Rangpur, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Sherpur, Jamalpur, Faridpur, Rajbari, Madaripur, Shariatpur and Gopalganj districts.
