Steel trader shot, robbed in city

A gang of armed men robbed Tk 6.70 lakh from a steel trader, and shot him three times last night in Nayabazar of the capital.
The victim, Abdur Rashid, 50, owner of Usha Steel Corporation, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Mohammad Siraj, an employee of Rashid, said a gang of four to five men shot and robbed Rahid when he was getting on his motorbike to go to his Nazirabazar residence around 10:30pm.
Bongshal Police Station Officer-in-charge Zamir Uddin Ahmed confirmed the incident.
