7 hurt as BCL, Shibir clash in Cox's Bazar

At least seven people were injured as Islami Chhatra Shibir and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists clashed at Cox's Bazar Polytechnic Institute at Muhuripara under Sadar upazila yesterday.
Locals said the activists of the student bodies were locked in an altercation while welcoming freshers near the main gate of the institute in the morning.
Later, they attacked each other, leaving seven people from both sides injured.
On information, police rushed to the spot, dispersed the clashing groups and brought the situation under control.
The BCL activists later swooped on a mess run by Shibir near the institute. Police arrested four students from the spot.
