Appeal for help

He joined a job only a week after completing graduation in mechanical engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (Duet) in last December to help run his middle-class family.
Everything of Kazi Yusuf Sayeed, 26, was going well after returning to the country from a workshop in India where he had gone soon after joining the job.
But all of his dreams with his aged freedom fighter father and other family members started fading when he suddenly felt pain in his head recently.
When he visited Suhrawardi Hospital on August 1 this year, physicians gave him "anesthesia" during a minor operation in his ear. Immediately after giving him the "anesthesia," he lost sense from his right portion of the body, said victim's brother Kazi Imram.
After taking treatment at the hospital for 26 days, the doctors suggested him leaving it for home. After taking release from there, Yusuf got admitted to the CRP hospital in Mirpur where he is now under going treatment.
Yusuf needs Tk 4,000 daily for the treatment cost, which is totally impossible for his father Kazi Abdur Rouf to manage. Doctors said Yusuf has to continue the treatment for one year.
His parents visited the offices of Muktijuddha Command Council and Sena Kallyan Sangstha for financial help to continue the treatment of their beloved son. But they returned to the home without any help.
Under this circumstances , the freedom fighter father has appealed to the well off sections in the society to extend their helping hands to save his son.
