Mother, daughter commit 'suicide'

A woman and her physically handicapped daughter allegedly committed suicide at Isapura village in Sirajdikhan upazila early yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Monika Bhawal, 34, wife of Madhab Bhawal and her 16 years old daughter Madhuri Bhawal.
Locals said Monika quarreled with her husband on Sunday noon over family affairs. Following the quarrel angry Madhab went to his nearby shop. But despite requests by his wife and daughter he did not return home to take his evening meal.
At this Monika and her daughter Madhuri became shocked and decided to commit suicide late at night. Monika first helped her daughter to commit suicide by hanging from the ceiling of their house and later she also killed herself the same way.
On returning home early yesterday morning Madhab found his wife and daughter hanging from the celing and informed the police.
