Dhaka Sports Carnival from November 30

The three-day 3rd Dhaka Sports Carnival will kick off tomorrow.
Dhaka Club, Kurmitola Golf Club, Cadet College Club, Gulshan Club and Uttara Club will host seven events bridge, snooker, cricket, golf, squash, tennis and swimming.
This was revealed at a press conference at the Dhaka Club premises yesterday. Chairman of the organising committee Rezaur Rahman, Dhaka Club president Salim Bhuiyan, deputy managing director of Prime Bank RQM Forkan, President of Cadet College Club major (retd) Tanim Hasan, Enayet Siraj, managing director of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited Yasin Ali, president of Uttara Club Rezaul Haq, CEO of Kurmitola Golf Club Col (retd) Anwar Hossain and former national cricketer and senior member of Dhaka Club Jahangir Shah Badshah were present on the occasion.
Group captain (retd) Mujahidul Islam, who is also the secretary of the carnival, moderated the briefing.
Twenty-one clubs, including fourteen from Bangladesh, will participate in the various events. Six clubs from Kolkata and one from Singapore, who are in the city, are also taking part.
Cricket would be of the six-a-side kind, taking place at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium on December 1 and 2. Chittagong Club, who are not among the participating clubs due to their elections, are expected to play the cricket tournament.
Kolkata Cricket and Football Club, which will be in town for the sports carnival, will play a friendly cricket match against Dhaka Club at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium on November 30.
