Mason murdered

Construction workers yesterday beat an adolescent boy to death at Badda for his alleged attempt to steal a cell phone while a mason was stabbed to death at Khilgaon in the capital.
In another incident, an angry mob caught two muggers and beat them up after they fired shots at a plastic trader at Rampura.
Workers at an under-construction building in Bashundhara residential area caught Hridoy, son of Nurunnabi of Khilkhet, who trespassed on the building compound, and beat him to death at about 10:00am.
Khilgaon police said the body of mason Mohammad Faruq of Kafrul was found in a flat on the fifth floor of a building at south Banashri in the evening. The body bore stab marks.
Motive behind the murder remained unknown. None was arrested, said police.
Meanwhile, a gang of three muggers fired shots at plastic trader Milon, 22, at Rampura while he was returning home at around 8:30pm.
Locals caught two of the muggers and beat them up.
Police rescued the two and took them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Injured Milon was also admitted to the hospital.
