2 RU Shibir men held

Police with the help of Rajshahi University (RU) authorities yesterday arrested two Shibir activists and an outsider and sealed off two Shibir-controlled rooms at Shaheed Shamsuzzoha Hall for their alleged involvement in the movement against the authorities.
The arrestees were identified as Shibir men Golam Azam, a final year student of Islamic Studies department, and M Hashem, a first year student of law and justice department, and outsider Mahmudul Hossain.
Sources said Shibir activists were making placards and posters protesting fee hike by the hall authorities at Room No 207 at around 11:30am.
The hall authorities then sealed off Room No 207 and Room No 134, the room of hall unit Shibir secretary Shariful Hossain Tuhin.
