Dhaka eyes $2.8b exports to Germany

Bangladesh is expected to export traditional and non- traditional items worth US$2.8 billion to Germany this year, $0.3 billion more than the last year, according to President of Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce and Industry M Saiful Islam. The German- Bangla chamber chief was talking to BSS after the organisation's annual general meeting yesterday.
The AGM elected Saiful Islam the president, Saria Sadique senior vice president, Syed Sadaquat
Hossain vice president and Peter Palesh the treasurer.
Newly appointed German Ambassador to Bangladesh Holger Michael was present on the occasion.
The bilateral trade growth between Bangladesh and German has been increasing yearly as it witnessed 25 percent growth in last financial year.
