Cultural programme marking National Agriculture Day

A cultural programme, painting competition for children, discussion and a fair was held at the Nomani maidan in Magura on November 15 to mark National Agriculture Day.
The cultural programme featured modern and folk songs. Local singers performed modern songs, while Nayeb Ali Sarkar and Abdul Majid Boyati rendered folk songs at the event. Enthusiastic people from different walks of life flocked to the venue.
An aggregate of 68 students divided into three groups took part at the painting competition held at the local Shilpakala Academy.
A discussion was also held at the fair premises.
With Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Dilwar Bakht, the discussion was addressed amongst others by the lawmaker of Magura-2 constituency Advocate Biren Sikder; Magura Sadar Upazila Parishad chairman Abu Nasir Bablu; Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Tarikul Alam; Assistant Superintendent of Police Fariduddin Ahmed; Upazila Nirbahi Officer in Magura Sadar Tarikul Islam and Deputy-Director Of Department of Agriculture Extension in Magura Mohammad Enamul Haque.
