Biman, Orient Thai sign Hajj operation deal

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd signed an agreement with Orient Thai Airlines Company Ltd to lease Boeing 747 for carrying Hajj pilgrims yesterday.
Air Commodore (retd) Zakiul Islam, managing director and CEO of Biman, and Udom Tantiprasongchai of Orient Thai signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, says a press release.
Orient Thai was the lowest bidder when Biman floated the REP to lease the Boeing 747 aircraft for Hajj operation in June this year.
The airline company operated the Hajj flights in 2008-'09.
