NCL in for a break

After five rounds, the National Cricket League will go into a brief hiatus until the end of the ICC World Twenty20. The five matches that took place so far were dominated by good batting performances.
Dhaka Metro's Asif Ahmed, with 527 runs -- which included a double-century -- after five matches is the highest run-scorer of the tournament. Young wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan, who plays for Dhaka Division, ended the first leg with an average of 89, the highest overall. His side, also posted the highest first-class score ever in Bangladesh -- 756 -- during the tournament.
The bowling department was dominated by slow-left armers. Monir Hossain and Nabil Samad topped the wickets column with 24 and 23 wickets respectively. Rajshahi's slow-left armer, Taijul Islam's 10 for 98 was the best bowling figures in a match.
