N’ganj raid: House owner among 10 detained

Police detained 10 persons including the owner of the house, where the three militants were killed during a joint forces raid in Narayanganj today.

The detainees include house owner Nuruddin Dewan, his wife and three sons, Faruk Hossain, additional superintendent of police in Narayanganj, told The Daily Star.

"They were detained for the sake of investigation," he said.

The bodies of the three militants were taken to Narayanganj General Hospital (Victoria) morgue around 6:10pm, police said.

But, the hospital authorities refused to admit the bodies as saying that necessary equipments were not there to perform autopsies, Asaduzzaman, residential medical office of the hospital told The Daily Star.

Later, the bodies were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
