Nancy admitted to MMCH for taking 'sleeping pills'

Singer Nazmun Monira Nancy was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) for allegedly taking an overdose of sleeping pills at her Netrakona residence this evening.

She might have taken the pills due to frustration over family feud, said Md Masudul Alam, officer-in-charge of Netrakona Sadar Police Station.

Family members rushed her to Netrakona Sadar Hospital around 7:00pm after she took the pills at her residence at Satpai area in the district town, the OC said.

As her condition deteriorated, she was shifted to MMCH, Nilothpol Talukder, a residential medical officer of the hospital, told our Mymensingh correspondent.

Nancy is now out of danger, said Zakir Hossain, an emergency medical officer of MMCH.
