National Film Award winning actress Moushumi has turned her sights to filmmaking as well. She made her directorial debut and starred in the critically acclaimed “Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti”, and went on to make and star in “Meherniger”.
Under the banner of Impress Telefilm, the star is now making “Shunno Hridoy”, based on a love story. She has co-starred with Ferdous in the film.
Moushumi said her husband Omar Sani -- also a film artiste -- and son Fardin assisted her in the celluloid venture.
Meanwhile, director Mohammad Mostofa Kamal Raj is to release his new film “Tarkata”, featuring Moushumi, Arefin Shuvo and Bidya Sinha Mim next month.
Meanwhile, quite a few of her films await release. Of them, Ferdous-produced “Ek Cup Cha” will be released soon. Ferdous is her co-star in the film.
On “Ek Cup Cha”, Moushumi says, “I played my role from the depths of my heart as Ferdous produced the project. I hope the audiences will receive the movie warmly.”
The superstar has also done several TV commercials that have been well received. Ahead of Eid, she is now flooded with offers for several TV plays.
