Mirsarai land office set ablaze

Unidentified miscreants set the office of assistant commissioner (land) in Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong ablaze early yesterday, resulting in damage to at least a hundred valuable land documents.

Fazle Elahi Oli, the assistant commissioner (land), said the miscreants poured patrol after breaking a windowpane on the east side of the one-storey building and set the room on fire. The record room was not damaged as they doused the fire within 10 minutes, around 2:40am, he added. A case was filed.

On January 22, armed miscreants ransacked the office of assistant commissioner (land) in Aminbazar area of Savar after tying the security guard with ropes.
