Man jailed for false voting

A man was jailed for two years and fined Tk 10,000 in Narail Sadar upazila for his attempt to cast fake vote during the fourth phase of upazila elections this afternoon.

Law enforcers arrested Pratik Biswas, 34, at Rupganj Girls High School polling center around 2:30pm, reports our Narail correspondent.

Later, the mobile court of Judicial Magistrate Ariful Islam sentenced him to two years’ imprisonment.

His affiliation with any political party could not be known immediately.
