Man dies, wife hurt as they hack each other

A man died and his wife suffered severe injuries  after they allegedly hacked each other following a family feud in Turag area of the capital yesterday.
The deceased Monir Hossain, 28, a transport owner, died at Apollo Hospitals. His wife Yesmin Akter, 22, is undergoing treatment at the hospital's intensive care unit, said police.
The couple hacked each other with sharp weapons after a family feud. Hearing their shouts, a neighbour rushed to the house and took them to a local hospital, said Sub-Inspector Kamal Hossain of Turag Police Station. The duo was later shifted to Apollo Hospitals.
Abir Mohammad Hossain, officer-in-charge of the police station, said the couple argued over extramarital affairs.
