Majority believe Bangladesh headed towards wrong direction: Survey

The majority of Bangladeshis believes that the country was headed towards wrong direction, according to a post-poll public opinion conducted by a US based non-profit organisation.

Only 35 percent reportedly felt that the country was headed towards the right direction, said a 17-page survey of The International Republican Institute.

The number of people who think the country is going towards wrong direction is 59.

The survey was revealed at a press conference in Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the capital around 10:15am.

The IRI conducted the survey titled ‘Bangladesh Public Opinion Survey’ among 2,550 people of 64 districts in the country between January 12 and 27 this year.

The survey results showed that Bangladeshis are worried about the country's overall situation and its future.
