Madrassa teacher held for ‘molesting boy’

Police this evening arrested a madrassa teacher on charge of molesting a male student at Lalbagh in the old part of the capital city.
Masudur Rahman, 26, was picked up from Forkania Hafizia Madrassa at Shaheed Nagar around 6:00pm, police said.
Nurul Muttakin, officer-in-charge of Lalbagh Police Station, told The Daily Star that they detained the teacher after a case was filed against him.
In the case statement, the complainant alleged that Masudur had been molesting his 13-year-old son for the last six months but the boy could not disclose it to his parents in fear of retaliation, the OC added.
The police officer said that they were investigating the incident.
