American Center is screening "Good Night, And Good Luck" - an American film based on a true story where broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow tries to bring down Senator Joseph McCarthy. 
Cast: David Strathairn, George Clooney, Robert Downey Jr., Patricia Clarkson, and Jeff Daniels. 
The film show is free and open for all!

My Beloved Motherland 5: An exhibition

My Beloved Motherland 5 is the fifth edition of Md Abu Salim's exhibition series titled 'My Beloved Motherland.' Based on Salim's recent works, this edition enunciates Salim's take on all the demoralising lineaments that plague his country which he dubs as his most beloved. The main focus of his exhibition remains the same like his previous works from this series: to denounce corruption, terrorism, poverty, and dominance of muscle-power in society and politics, as well as national issues like land and river appropriation, environment pollution, moral degradation etc. 

Torongo Sound Workshop by DES and Pathshala Cinema Department

Torongo is an introductory sound production workshop jointly conducted by the Dhaka Electronica Scene (DES) and Pathshala Cinema Department. Participants will get hands-on experience on how to produce sound for cinema. This compact workshop is open for all who is interested to know about the best practices for film sound and for anyone who wants to produce original scores for their films in no time.
