Calling friends, siblings, partners, parents and kids of all ages! Join on the 15th and 22nd December to brighten up your holiday decor and gift ideas. Art for the Soul, in collaboration with The Create Space is holding its usual fluid art workshop, but this time, the festive way! Come enjoy a chilly Saturday of fluid art and create your masterpieces on canvases and Christmas ornaments! They are holding two special sessions for kids aged 2-13 on both Saturdays from 3:30PM to 5:00PM and two regular sessions for adults (aka kids aged 14 and above) from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Price is Tk 2,500. Please note that the price of Tk 2,500 covers one child and one parent, or one adults, so be sure to bring your plus ones along! Things included per pair: two canvases, one Christmas ornament, one holiday themed notebook, one pack of stickers, one holiday themed greeting cards, holiday themed desserts and drinks!

UP (Uncertainty Principle) wishes to perform any type of music which touches people's soul. This is precisely the kind of music which makes your day. At EMK, they will perform two types of songs- Originals and Tagore song fusions. The track list is for all the young adults and adults who have gone through any form of depression at any point in their lives. Tickets are priced at Tk 100.

This contemporary dance choreography is going to be about female harassment in our society. According to the title, it is a statement which will enlighten the audience regarding what actually a girl goes through when something happens against her will. The performance will speak about their inner thoughts which they can't speak out so easily. In the performance, we will use different types of dance style like Kathak, Bharatnatyam, folk etc. but the process of choreography will be contemporary. There will be the use of different dialogues, and a few songs as background music to relate to the concept and subliminal message. Tickets are priced at Tk 100.

FUTURES IN THE BALANCE BY PATRICK BROWN PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

More than a year ago, a startled international community watched a dramatic humanitarian crisis unfold on the north-eastern edge of the Bay of Bengal. In a matter of weeks, thousands of desperate and terrorised people — 60 percent of them children — poured across the border from Myanmar into Bangladesh, bringing with them accounts of unspeakable violence and brutality that had forced them to flee. UNICEF has been on the ground in southern Bangladesh since the onset of the crisis as part of a coalition of national and international agencies. With a collection of photographs taken by internationally acclaimed photographer Patrick Brown during the last one year showcasing initial influx, the resilience of the Rohingya, the host community, emergency mitigation measures, and international support to the Rohingya people.
FLIPSIDE. MADE IN BANGLADESH

In February 2018 eight Bangladeshi women, working in Dhaka's garment and textile industry, participated in a four-week photography workshop. They learned photography skills, and documented their daily lives following a collective process of sharing, discussing and reflecting on their images. You are invited to 'flip' the images to continue this dialogue. Absolutely apt for Sabrina Asche, a German artist, based in both Leipzig and Dhaka since 2014. Weaving the threads of globalisation, female employment, and textiles, her works are a tapestry of objects, performances, and photographic images that stitch together both the conceptual and the documentative.
