The ultimate Football boot guide

Prepare yourself for the biggest party of the summer, because this time around, it's not about fighting for the infinity stones, but rather, the gold trophy of legends, granting the nation that earns it the title of the King of Kings.

Unfortunately, Bangladesh isn't a part of this battle for supremacy and the majority of us can't exactly go to Russia to witness history in the making. We can, however, get a small taste of the glory by playing tournaments throughout summer and crowning our own local heroes, wearing the jerseys of our favourite teams as armours and their boots as sabatons.

However, nobody here is worried about which country will be hoisting the gold, but rather how they can own the latest boots in the market.

"Buying football boots for me is a big hassle. I can never find boots which meet my foot size," lamented Nameera, captain of The Aga Khan School's girls' team. "It's just not me; all of my teammates have the same complaint."

Girls mostly struggle to find boots their size, and are hence forced to look for them in the junior section of most sports stores in Bangladesh. As a result, they either end up buying football boots which don't meet their likings or forced to leave empty-handed.

Summer is the best time to ask your relatives or friends living abroad to get you your favourite boots as they pack up for their annual visit to Bangladesh to enjoy summer vacation.

That way you can get whatever boot you want, that too at a very cheap price.

Unfortunately, when no friends or relatives are coming your way, there is only Facebook to fall back on.

"Import Express is my go to place for buying football boots. I can get the boots at rates which are incredibly cheap compared to the fortune it would've cost me had I bought it from Sports World!" exclaimed Munif, a passionate football fan.

"What most stores in Bangladesh lack is variety. On top of that, most are replicas which wear out after a few months of play," continued Munif.

Ordering through Import Express is a piece of cake; you simply have to send them a link of the football boot from a list of United Kingdom based websites such as Pro Direct and pay them 50% in advance. Done!

If you're a seasonal football fan and hardly play football, you can opt for A/B grade replicas which are dirt cheap. You can find them in stores like Sports Art or even Amir Complex in Uttara.

When Hossain, who plays for North South University's football team, was asked where he buys his football boots from, he spoke about going through numerous Facebook pages including Import Express, Import Ace and Click Express and comparing their respective rates. The ones which provide the cheapest rates are where he buys his boots from; the only issue being delivery time. It takes them 2-3 weeks to deliver. So, if any of you are looking to order through these pages, place your orders now, or else you might run the risk of missing out on the World Cup season entirely. Quality does come at a cost!

Your reach isn't only just limited to Facebook pages. You can also order through websites such as Backpack by simply sending them a link of the boots on Amazon or eBay. It's amazing how you've got the whole wide world at your fingertips. Shopping for top grade football boots is now a few clicks away. You can order any boot you want and not worry about going to stores with your fingers crossed, hoping that it'll be available in stock.
