Uber Premier: Easy ride for a busy life

Almost a year since its launch in November of 2016, Uber strives to keep on "revolutionising the way millions of people think about getting around cities," as proclaimed by Arpit Mundra, General Manager, Uber Dhaka, in a press release.

The new feature, Uber Premier, falls right into this idea of revolutionising the way both the riders and the driver partners experience the service that Uber provides. Riders can now enjoy an enhanced journey with Uber Premier, available on their apps and moreover, with just a bit of a cost increase compared to the regular UberX service.

The driver partners on that note, can also regulate the hours they are available and can decide to take a break and rest by simply choosing to tap on a 'button' which says "Stop new requests," even during a trip.

The Premier experience is what you call the Business class experience indeed, starting with the cars themselves, which are in quality condition and run smoothly, and, I feel even more importantly, the driver partners who have had the experience of taking riders to their destinations, over a long period of time, with a higher frequency too, than UberX driver partners.

This ensures us of the fact that they have had a certain training from having operated right here in the busy streets of Dhaka, and can keep their cool and manoeuvre around traffic so that the rider may reach their destination quickly, making the ride not only pleasant but closer to the experience of having one's own car.

Choosing a preferred car is easy, as you can cancel your ride within the first five minutes of having been matched, and look out for a car model of your liking, without having to pay the cancellation fees as such.

The current pricing for Uber Premier stands at Tk 80 for the base fare, and Tk 22 every kilometre and Tk 3 for every minute, as announced on their blog.

Uber Premier presents to riders the perks of having a 'plush ride' around town, which makes sure you not only arrive in style, but also in comfort.
