resort review

A palatial experience

A 200-acre expanse of tranquil space is where your next holiday needs to be — The Palace Luxury Resort, Bahubal-Habiganj, Sylhet.

Imagine escaping from the hustle and bustle of urban life to a location where the only noises one can hear are perhaps their own thoughts.

Greenery envelops the scene, no matter how far the eyescan see; in fact no photograph can ever do justice to the serenity of that place.

As you enter the gates, lotus blooms casually floating in a waterfall welcome you. Guests are being picked up and dropped off  atdifferent parts of the resort in motorised carts that they call Buggies.

The Tower, where most of rooms and restaurants are located, can comfortably accommodate 300 or more guests. Visitors have the option to select from a myriad of accommodations— Executive King, Signature Twin, and Signature King; the 22 villas or one of the two Presidential Villas (if they are not already taken). The winding roads, hanging bridges, to the structures built around the entire area, everything is artistic and respectful to the surrounding flora. It almost has that Indiana Jones kind of feel of scouting through the jungle, but with the added edge of a 5-star experience.

Customer service is truly impeccable and the best, every employee let that be the Buggy driver to the server are always smiling, readily available to assist and accommodate every single need of the guests. Security throughout the resort is top-notch and unquestionable with guards patrolling all the roads on foot or bike 24/7.

The array of facilities available at the resort are mostly complementary, making this the perfect place to either spend some quiet time with that special someone, or quality time with family and loved ones.

Services include two separate pools for men and women, gymnasium, helipad, outdoor and indoor play areas for children, a spa centre that offers saunas, Jacuzzi and Turkish baths and two theatres that screen a selection of movies every evening. The resort also lets guests pick from a handful of restaurants and cafes that highlight an array of cuisines, from continental and oriental cuisine to Thai, French, and even street food from various regions of the world.

A large portion of their customer base is made up of corporate and the resort is usually buzzing from November to March, but they also provide special rates during off peak seasons which should not be missed!

In all, The Palace Luxury Resort is true to its name, luxury hand in hand with open unadulterated nature, to create the ultimate experience of drowning yourself into an experience of utter bliss!
