Garlic 'n Ginger: Multi cuisine redefined

Although it is hard finding places in the enormous Jamuna Future Park, Garlic 'n Ginger draws you in with its big letters on a wooden sign. It is a unique multicuisine restaurant with exceptional dishes, breath-taking interiors, and impeccable service. Garlic 'n Ginger started with a vision to become a local brand that can compete toe to toe with the foreign franchises in the country in terms of taste and quality. "We want our brand to go international so that we are franchised instead", says Asif Rabbani, managing director of Garlic 'n Ginger.

Stepping in, you are greeted by the staff, and taken to the designated tables. Before heading off to your tables though, take a moment to simply explore the restaurant, and take in the beauty that the structures provide, and explore all the tiny details that make this place truly unique.

Multi Cuisine at its best

Garlic 'n Ginger has everything, from exotic Thai and Chinese cuisine, flavourful Italian pastas, to the zesty flavours of Indian cuisine. However, if you are more into smoked or grilled protein, Garlic 'n Ginger also has their Continental and BBQ arenas. A rare sight to the eyes, but this one of a kind restaurant also serves fast food for those who prefer a quick bite instead of sitting for a full meal, and best of all, they affordable enough for just about anyone.

AN AUTHENTIC JAPANESE EXPERIENCE

Garlic 'n Ginger has an entire section of its menu dedicated to Japanese cuisine, named the Japanese arena. Here, you will find maki, nigiri, soups, noodles, sashimi platters and much more. To add to the experience, Garlic 'n Ginger also provides a sushi belt. The traditional Japanese seating arrangements simply add to the experience.

Vegetable Delights

Vegetarians normally find it hard to eat out given the lack of vegetarian dishes, and if they do find one, there are not as many options. Here though, things are different. A simple phone call is all you need to turn any regular menu item into its vegetarian counterpart. Other than that, vegetable polao, kofta curry, vegetable pakora and many more are always readily available on the menu.

Weekend Buffets

Weekends mean family time and occasional outings, and so, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays Garlic 'n Ginger provides just the right atmosphere for these outings with their buffet arrangements. These buffets not only provide regular platters from the menu, but additional ones as well to make your weekends more special.

Happy Hour Menu

Another noteworthy menu of theirs is Happy Hour, specialised for students who can grab quick lunches between classes that are kept at prices manageable for students. Don't think however, that the menu suffers because of the price because the menu includes delectable dishes like Japanese chicken teriyaki, chicken Mexican burritos and much more. Happy Hours are from Sundays through Thursdays, from 4pm to 6pm, and are always served with drinks.

Things to check out

It really is not possible to try everything that they have on offer, and because of this, customer favourites really help when it comes to deciding. The Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken and Bangkok style sauté vegetables are crowd favourites for their tanginess and compliments most side dishes beautifully. Vegetable polao and vegetable dopiaza are the commonly chosen items when it comes to vegetarian customers. It is hard to decide on desserts given they are all so flavoursome, but the crème caramel, rice pudding, and the red velvet cake are noteworthy mentions. Drinks like mocktail, mint lemonade and Orange Julius deserve a special mention here as well.

The illuminated interior gives a whole new meaning to the word ambience, and is enough to warrant a second visit. From the golden lighting in every corner, to the intricate showpieces, and of course, the designated seating arenas for different cuisines, all function together to provide you with nothing short of a great dining experience.

If you are unsure as to what your taste buds are hankering for, take a trip to Garlic 'n Ginger and explore their wide array of offered cuisines, and with that complimenting atmosphere, you and your appetite will not regret it.
