Spotless sneakers

Remove your shoelaces and insoles to wash them separately. This will help to cut down on the drying time.  Try cleaning the scuzzy laces by scrubbing them with a soapy brush or putting them in the washing machine. Before putting the sneakers in the machine pillowcase the shoe with old towels and tie the end of the laces to prevent them from banging around during the cycle, as this could damage the machine or the shoe. You can also add some vinegar to deodorise.

Set the timer with cold temperature and slow spin with no tumble drying – warm temperatures can cause damage to the shoes. Then allow them to air dry. Stuff your shoes with paper towels or newspaper which will help them dry fast as well as maintain the shape of the shoe.  Do not place the shoes directly under the sun as this can also cause damage. Plan ahead.
