Weeklong Celebration of Photography

Pathshala South Asian Media Institute celebrated World Photography Day with an exhibition inauguration titled 'Expanded' on 19 August 2022, at DrikPath Bhobon. The exhibition had been curated by Sarker Protick and Samsul Alam Helal and showcased the works of eight emerging photographers from South Asia. The works were produced during a year-long mentorship programme in collaboration with VII Academy and Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. The photographers of the exhibition were Hadi Uddin, Mayank Makhija, Mehbuba Mahzabeen Hasan, Nad-E-Ali, Riti Sengupta, Tavish Gunasena, Uma Bista, and Vamika Jain.

Apart from the exhibition, for the very first time, Pathshala will host 'Pathshala Photo Week' from 20 August to 27 August 2022 featuring artist talk, gallery walk, education seminars & exchanges, and meet-ups with peers, friends & industry professionals.
