Couture brand launches KC Private Collection showcasing luxury furniture and space design

KC, a couture brand that specialises in custom home interiors and furniture, has launched KC Private Collection, an ensemble of individual pieces of furniture, conceived and designed by Kawsar Chowdhury, CEO and Creative Director of KC and KCDI, New York.

The launching ceremony took place at KC Gallery in Baridhara, His Excellency Enrico Nunziata, the Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh officially inaugurated the collection, with other distinguished guests including Dr Mattia Ventura, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Trade and Economic Section, Embassy of Italy in Dhaka, also present.

A self-taught artist and designer, Kawsar Choudhury takes inspiration from classical designs and art to come up with his own brand of designs. His designs have been termed as 'style-breaking,' where he translates his vast experience of design into disruptive pieces of haute furniture.

"My inspirations come from many places but this time, I am focusing on designs that are based on fusion with our culture, like the one you can see on my signature piece Rising Tiger design, where you can see the tiger infused embroidery on an exotic fabric," said Kawser Chowdhury.

While KCDI is based in New York to serve as a focal point for providing KC products there, KC's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are in Bangladesh, incorporating sustainable processes for the making of KC products, with materials like the finest leathers imported from Milan, Italy. Their products are crafted by incorporating advanced technological manufacturing processes, essentially fusing art and design into 'furni-tech,' with their coating technology, CNC woodwork milling and printing technology.

Along with their living room and dining room pieces, KC also provides interior décor solutions like creating a modern kitchen experience, serving corporate clients by creating luxury bespoke furniture.
