LS Suggests

The season of light shawls

As the chilly weather is waning out, the lingering morning fog makes your attire need a warm and fashionable touch for the daily dose of chic. Your heavy duty hoodies, jackets and sweaters are done with their innings; it is time to reach for the lightest wear in your wearable arsenal. These last vestiges of winter can only be embraced with shawls, be it Kashmiri silk or Pashmina. Shawls have a way of making way into the fashion trends every year. Perhaps with panjabi for men, or a sari for women, the shawl is a symbol of 'sweater weather.'

SHAWL FOR HIM

Black and beige colours are a safe way to go, but go bold this time. A lime green, turquoise or a pastel blue shawl is a perfect shade. Aarong, Deshi Dosh, and Manyavar are the places for you to shop. However, if beige, white and black colours are your preferences then Sadakalo and Kay Kraft are places worth visiting.

SHAWL FOR HER

Tops, salwar kameez or sari — a shawl has you covered! Cotton, viscose, endi and silk are the marvellous choices to select from. Nakshikantha shawl can also be an option.

This year go for peach and pastel shades. Embroidered shawls will help to give your outfit an added oomph. On the other hand, if you prefer darker hues, fire-orange, mud-brown, and black shawls with grey outlines are options you can look forward to.

Places like Bibiyana, Aarong, Deshi Dosh and Kay Kraft are your treasure hunt spots.
