With maximum client satisfaction as the main objective of her enterprise, Fariya Tazin is pursuing her passion to be a designer, having launched her brand Polka Drops some nine months ago. The boutique, located at her home, offers a unique experience of shopping for everyone who visits, with a very homely and comfortable atmosphere where they can spend hours to choose from the available designs.
Polka Drops usually works with pure chiffon and georgette materials, which are more preferable in the perpetually hot and humid Dhaka city as they soak up sweat and help to avoid the extra trouble of ironing clothes.

Even working with basic materials, she tries to add flair by incorporating unusual twists to her designs, and mostly avoids working with embroidery, as that is quite common.
She prefers ribbon work, stone work, dabka, appliqué, and patti work on her dresses. She also works with lace and neck pieces, and a lot of trendy abayas are also custom made, depending on customers' choice.
The wow factor of her work is the different cuts she uses -- from long, short, flowy, to asymmetrical, she offers all sorts of designs. Focusing mainly on shades and colours like cobalt blue and ruby red, she develops her designs with a lot of care.
Working with delicacy and dedication, Polka Drop tries to keep up with current fashion trends too.
Customising the design, cut, and colour of the dresses you like is a huge advantage that they offer and they always try their best to complete the dresses as early as possible, keeping in mind the immense trouble that the tailors usually stir up.
At Polka Drops price range varies depending on the type of outfit you like; starting from kaftans, tunics, long kameez, party gowns, kurtis and casual shirts, there are different price ranges.
Regular wear and kurtis can be found ranging from Tk 3,500 to Tk 5,000, and party wear is especially designed, ranging from Tk 10,000 to Tk 12,000.
