Tips for a rainy day

"Rain rain go away,
Come again another day!"

That need not be the case if you are worried about getting your make-up ruined on a drizzling day. These following make-up tips will help you look glamorous while avoiding a meltdown due to high levels of humidity or on days you just forget to carry an umbrella in this monsoon season.

First things first- foundation. You don't want your make-up base to get clammy or patchy due to the weather conditions so it's better to use a light base instead of applying a full coverage foundation.

Tinted moisturisers and BB creams are go-to products during monsoon. They allow your skin to breathe while concealing minor flaws.

It is also smarter to use cream blush instead of powder blush on rainy days because cream blush will stick to your skin whereas powder blush is more likely to wear off.

Eye make-up is also crucial. It is best to avoid cream products. Switch to brow gels instead of eyebrow pencils, and powder eye shadows instead of any other cream substitutes.

This will make your eye make-up last longer as cream formulae tend to melt off your skin in humid conditions. And of course, it is essential to stick to waterproof eyeliners and mascara to maintain a clean, dry look.

Next, opt for a long-lasting matte lipstick or just tinted lip balm instead of lip gloss to finish off your look. Lip gloss requires constant touch-ups and tends to get messy which is undesirable in rainy or humid conditions.

Having said all of the above, it is better to keep monsoon make-up minimalistic and natural to avoid any kind of fuss. An added tip would be to tie your hair in an up-do in order to avoid the humidity frizz.

This will keep you comfortable as you would not have to worry about your hair becoming uncontrollable and you can effortlessly strut in your monsoon look!
