5 life lessons to learn from the Cricket World Cup 2019

The cricket world cup fever has taken over. From the joyous win against West Indies to witnessing the thrilling match of India-Pakistan, it's safe to say, this world cup has provided us with enough entertainment. But if you take a deeper look, you can definitely find a few life lessons that this world cup has taught us. Here are few that I picked up:

I. Not everything in life will go according to plan:

Life is unpredictable. You might plan something for yourself but there might come some hurdles that will clash with your plan. Just look at England's weather and what it is doing to the matches. The growth of your life can also be interrupted by some unwanted rain, so plan accordingly.

II. Always appreciate people's efforts:

It's very easy to blame people. When a player performs badly in one match, we just forget all the previous things he has done for us. Pointing fingers at someone for one bad result should not flush down all the good things that person has done for you.

III. Never look down upon anyone:

Being humble is the key to success. No matter how big you make it in life, don't make fun of, or look down upon people who are trying to do well in life, because you never know when the people that you took for granted start winning in life, and you turn into the favourite template of meme pages.

IV. Stand up against wrong:

How Virat Kohli requested fans not to mock Steven Smith during their match is the best example of standing up against wrong things gracefully. He taught us all that there are peaceful ways to raise your voice against wrong things.

V. Keep doing your best no matter what people say:

The biggest lesson that you can learn from this world cup is that no matter how much people talk about you, you just need to stay focused on your goals, and keep moving forward. When you no longer care about what people say about you, you can forget past mistakes and win at life.

Our life is like a game of cricket. You can't always come out as a winner, but you can always earn respect and experience along the way as you play it. Remember, even if you don't win the toss, the game can still be won through hard work and dedication.
