Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes

Have you ever been in awe of Natalie Portman's refreshingly good looks and wondered how she manages it, All-The-Time!? This celebrity is so amazing that even the paparazzi have never been successful in catching her off her guard, blemished or awkward.

So, what's her secret? Is it just a blessing of healthy, unblemished skin? Of course not! She is as human as all of us, with all the flaws. Possibly the secret is her subtlety in make-up and this makes all the difference.

Eyes

- window to the soul

Most makeup artists profess that they like working mostly with the eyes, and why not? When it is these set of jewels that create a connection to the soul, revealing the true personality of any being.

The secret behind Natalie Portman's natural look also lies with the eyes. To get the au-natural look, we must first groom our brows into shape and fill them in, sparingly with eye brow pencils in soft colours like light brown, hazel, etc.

To complement the eyebrows, soft browns and bronzes can be used on the eye lids, helping to add definition. A hint of liner pressed right into the lashes with a heavy dab of mascara follows, helping to lift up the entire look. A touch of pearl coloured highlighter on the inside of the eyes adds a bit of sparkle. If soft browns and bronzes were 'Never' the favoured colours then one may opt for pastels, soft corals, nudes, pinks and peaches--whatever suits them best.

Lips

mantra to honesty and passion

Experts assert that the lips must always compliment the eyes. To flaunt the natural look you definitely want to exhibit a pair of lips that will not stain a wine glass or a cute guy's cheeks!

A sheer peach lipstick always complements the nude look. The best thing about this colour is that it almost always looks amazing and complements every skin tone. So you need not have difficulty of looking through hoards of lipstick shades to find the right tinge.

Skin

- signs of good health and wellbeing

If you did not have a dewy complexion to match with the nude look, all the hard work will just fall apart. The secret is to use a tinted moisturiser all over the face. The latest Beauty Benefit (BB) or Colour Correcting (CC) creams are a fantastic alternative to the heavy-set creamy foundations. Use concealers only where it is needed; a bit under the eyes and over any kind of blemishes. For that extra bit of dewy look, a cream blusher can be applied on the cheeks, completed with dusting off a little bit of translucent powder to keep everything in place.

Are you still unsure of the look, thinking that this will make you feel bare and look really simple? Let me assure you by saying, the nude look has been trending crazily since 2015, and it is here to stay. Better yet, the celebrities have flaunted this look even on the global red carpets, where you are supposed to be at your glamorous best.

Put a 'Sparkle' in your eye

If so much coercing could not make a converter out of you then it's perhaps for the best. There is a common saying in the world of style and fashion – 'You'd never look good, if you were not comfortable.' Having said that, your style perhaps embraces the glam and the sensational? What's the easiest way to don it, you ask? Just spray glitter over the nude colours. These sprightly colours are available in small boxes of all sizes and shapes of all brands including the professional makeup brand M.A.C to regular brands like Colour Pop. To complement the glittery eyes, the lips can be filled with bright colours like orange, blood-red or wine. These colours need not necessarily match the eye colours; rather it can be paired based on the dress, accessories or jewelleries, worn. To make the lips come alive, glitters, in the shades of gold can be lightly applied on the lips. Viola! You have now owned the 'bewitched' look, perfectly!
