Turkish Culinary Week at Le Méridien Dhaka

On October 30, 2017, the 'Turkish Culinary Week' was inaugurated at Le Méridien Dhaka, marking the commencement of a weeklong culinary festival full of flavour. Not only is this an opportunity for us to experience authentic transcontinental cuisine, but a gateway for us to interact with Turkish culture and cuisine, which has fascinated the world for centuries.

On the day of the inauguration, Le Méridien Dhaka's Grand Ballroom was transformed to give off a vibe of Turkey. Guests were warmly greeted by men and women wearing traditional Turkish attires. The men wore shalwar, over the calf socks along with yelek (vest) and cebken (jacket) while the women wore gömlek (chemise), şalwar and entari (robe) — which completed the ensemble. To make the day even more eventful, there was live musical rendition from the land of the Sufis.

Renowned chefs Seyfi Sakman and Umit Aymelek had been flown all the way from Turkey to preserve the authenticity of every dish that was served.

The buffet is open between 6.30 PM to 11.30 PM at Tk 4000++ per person. The event will continue till 11 November, 2017.
