US-Bangla Airlines is going to operate flights to Sharjah, UAE -- one of the most popular destinations in the Middle East -- from January 30.

The airline will initially operate six flights weekly to Sharjah, US-Bangla said in a press release.

Operating flights on this route will fulfil the longstanding expectations of the expatriate Bangladeshis working in Sharjah, it added.

US-Bangla's 164-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be used to operate flights on this route.

The US-Bangla flight will leave Dhaka at 9 pm every day of the week, except Saturday, and reach Sharjah at 12:30 am (local time). It will leave Sharjah for Dhaka on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 1:30 am (local time) and land in Dhaka at 8:00 am.

It will also leave Sharjah for Chattogram at 1:30 am on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and land in Chattogram at 8:00am.

US-Bangla currently operates flights to Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Chennai, Kolkata and Guangzhou.

Flight operations on the Bangkok route have been temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
