The United Arab Emirates will give travel visas for 30 to 60 days to foreigners as per its new rules approved from October 3.

Before Tuesday (October 4, 2022), there were 30 and 90 day visas to the UAE. The travel visa has been allowed for 60 days instead of 90 days. The 90 day travel visas has been cancelled.

The biggest change has been brought to the amount of fine people have to pay for overstaying their visa period.

People will have to pay a fine of 50 dirhams per day for each extra day in the UAE. Earlier it was 100 dirham.

All travel visa holders who have been fined  will also have to give 50 percent less.

There is another change made to children's travel visas. Until yesterday, when a child traveled with his mother, the price was fixed about 50 percent of the original price. Currently, the travel fee has been set equal for everyone. The 30-day visa is now 300-400 dirhams and the 60-day visa is 700-800 dirhams.

This has been confirmed in consultation with several visa agencies.

Shahidur Bin Shahjahan, a Bangladeshi travel businessman from Dubai, said, "Since Monday, we are only getting the opportunity to apply for 30 and 60-day visas. The fee for the visa application remains the same as before.

Abdul Mannan, a Bangladeshi visa agency in Sharjah, said, "The fine will be 50 dirhams per day from today, as well as 50 percent of the fine has been waived for the previous visitors."
