All tourist spots in Cox’s Bazar to reopen tomorrow

All tourist spots in Cox's Bazar will reopen from tomorrow. Preparations for opening hotels, motels, cottages and guest houses in Cox's Bazar have already been taken.

According to the government notice, all people on the beach will have to follow health guidelines to avoid Covid-19 infection.

Teams of tourist police will remain stationed at seven points, Laboni, Sugandha, Kolatoli, Kabita Chattar, Himchhari, Inani and Patuartek sea beaches, to monitor the situation, reports our staff correspondent.

Three special teams of the district administration will work towards building awareness against coronavirus.

Mobile courts will also be active to conduct drives against rule violators.

Tourist Police (Cox's Bazar zone) Superintendent Md Zillur Rahman confirmed the news to media today.

Cox's Bazar Additional Deputy Commissioner (overall) Jahid Iqbal told The Daily Star movement of ships on Teknaf-Saint Martin route remains suspended and he called upon tourists not to use any other alternative routes to go to the island.

All tourist spots have remained closed for most part of the time between March last year and August this year.
