Tommy Miah’s Kacchi Biriyani Challenge to be held on Feb 28

Internationally renowned British Bangladeshi chef Tommy Miah will launch his "Kacchi Biriyani Challenge" competition across Bangladesh next month.

The announcement came during a videoconference on January 24, in which Tommi Miah joined from London.

Tajul Islam, managing director of Tommi Miah's Hospitality Management Institute; SM Ali Jaker Shajin, Tommi Miah's marketing advisor and consultant; and his digital marketing partner from Kolkata, India were present, among others, at the conference.

Interested chefs should email to contest.tmkbc@gmail.com with their name, phone number, address, a two to five-minute video of themselves cooking kacchi biriyani, and multiple photos of the dish. The deadline for sending the email is February 20. The final round will be held on February 28 in Dhaka, where the selected top 10 chefs will participate.

As the Chief Guest, Tommi Miah will be present on that day. The competition winner will receive Tk 30,000, the first runner-up Tk 20,000, and the second runner-up Tk 10,000.

The competition winner will also be eligible to compete in "Tommi Miah's International Chef of the Year", which will take place later this year.
