Why is the airport exit closed?

Recently, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport exit has been closed and traffic is being diverted to Uttara, where Dhaka-bound vehicles have to take a u-turn at the Jashimuddin roundabout. This diversion is creating huge tailbacks on the Uttara highway and many vehicles are getting stuck in long traffic jams. I hope the authorities will look into the matter seriously.
