What's the government doing to prepare for earthquakes?

According to media reports Bangladesh is located in an earthquake-prone area. But so far we haven't noticed any government initiative on this crucial matter. The media needs to follow up on the initiatives the government is taking on earthquake preparedness. We are spending most of the time in fear, observing the movement of water in drinking bottles or filters. Even a minor head spin now feels like earthquake to us. 

The government should take major steps towards the preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery before and after earthquakes.
