Severe water scarcity in Old Dhaka

Several parts of Old Dhaka such as Gendaria, Sutrapur, Gualghat, Lakshmibazar, Kaltabazar and Islampur have been facing an acute water crisis for days. Most of the households across these areas remain without running water for the most part of the day.

Despite repeated complaints from local inhabitants, the authorities are yet to look into the matter. We urge the WASA authorities to take necessary measures to resolve the problem and put an end to the plight of these people.
