Save Halda

The country's largest fish spawning ground, the Halda River, is being destroyed because of the construction of unplanned structures and brick kilns on its banks. Because of the fact that the Halda is the only river where carp fish lays eggs, the importance of Halda—both economic and ecological—cannot be underestimated.

The river has already suffered a drastic decrease in fish due to pollution, and if this persists, the consequence will be worse than what we may have anticipated. We must save this invaluable aquatic sanctuary.
