The importance of reading newspapers

Newspapers are said to be the mirror of the world. One can endlessly describe the benefits of reading a newspaper daily. To many, in this age of information technology, when there are a number of online media outlets, none can erase the appeal of newspapers. Yet, newspapers are in decline in terms of readership and reach across the world.

In Bangladesh, as a student myself, I can say that it's extremely important for us, the students, to read newspapers regularly. Regularly reading an English newspaper, moreover, may enrich our language skills. Fresh graduates or job seekers can increase the likelihood of getting a job to a considerable extent if he learns the English language.

Moreover, the much needed knowledge about the global affairs can be harnessed through reading newspapers—something I personally believe no one should underestimate.
