Help jute workers

According to a report, export of goods made from jute rose by 40 percent. The Ministry of Textiles and Jute stated that the influence of jute on the national economy has grown substantially. This is indeed good news as the jute plant is one of the most promising ones to grow on our soil.

However, we have noticed how desperately workers have been protesting against the closure of state jute mills. The government's decision to shut all the mills and lay off thousands of workers was truly heart-wrenching. It should not turn a blind eye to the plight of the workers and must do everything possible to help the industry flourish.
