Humiliating defeat for Bangladesh

Bangladesh endured a humiliating defeat against Afghanistan in the first T20 cricket match in their three-match series. Many have questioned some of the decisions made by captain Shakib Al Hasan.

For example, why did Shakib opt to bowl first when the pitch seemed good for batting? Why did he continue using fast bowlers even though they were expensive and the pitch seemed better suited for spinners? Why did he not use Mahmudullah or Mosaddek more?

Bangladesh is a mature test-playing nation and such a defeat against Afghanistan indicates the need for serious reflection.
