Legal process on to bring back Nur Hossain: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmud Khandker today said legal process is on to bring back Nur Hossain, the main accused in the seven murder case of Narayanganj, from India.

"Investigation into the seven murder case is a judicial process. Giving its details is impossible. Whatever we have done in this regard is transparent and there is no lack of sincerity. Truth will be come out and the positive result also," the IGP said.

He was talking to reporters after inaugurating IP (internet protocol) cameras at Kanchpur and Bhulta in Narayanganj.

Four IP cameras have been installed at the two points on Dhaka Chittagong and Dhaka-Sylhet Highways.

On April 27, Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam, his three aides and driver and senior lawyer Chandan Sarkar and his driver were kidnapped from the Dhaka-Narayanganj link road.

Three days later, six bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya. The seventh surfaced the following day.

Local Awami League leader Nur Hossain, also close aide to ruling Awami League lawmaker Shamim Osman, fled the country two days after the abduction

He was arrested with his two aides in a Kolkata apartment on June 14, for not having valid documents required for entering the country.
