Laxmipur Jubo Dal activist shot dead

A Jubo Dal activist was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Laxmipur Sadar upazila early today.
Deceased Kamal Hossain Babul was an activist of Bashikpur union unit of the youth front of BNP.
Quoting locals, police said a gang of criminals called Kamal out of his Kashipur residence in the early hours and shot him to death.
Locals spotted the body of Kamal, son of one Sayed Ahmed, lying near his house in the morning.
Informed by neighbours, police recovered the body and sent it to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Wahiduzzaman, a sub-inspector of Dattapara police investigation centre, confirmed the killing.
